What Korean skincare actually gets right

Ask most people what Korean skincare means and you will hear about ten-step routines and sheet masks. That is the export version. The part that matters in a treatment room is less photogenic and much harder to copy: the assumption that skin is worth spending real time on, and that results come from consistency rather than intensity.
Kay Mason founded Nourish Skin Nashville in December 2020, having graduated from the Aveda Institute Nashville that March. She started out in a chain spa, and she has been direct about why she left:
“After I saw their basic run of the mill facials they offer in less than an hour, I knew I wanted something more than that. I wanted to take enough time for each client to learn their skin, build my relationship with them, and offer 100% customized treatment for their skin needs.”
That is the whole thesis, and it is not a line written for a website — it is the reason the studio exists. An hour is enough to perform a facial. It is not enough to learn a face.
The Korean professional line we treat with is Civasan, one of the most renowned Korean professional skincare lines, and we run it as three systems: Moisture Repair, Collagen Repair and Protein Repair. Which of the three you get is a decision your esthetician makes with you. It is not a package you choose off a menu before anyone has looked at your skin.
We also stock and retail Circadia. Korean-led does not mean Korean-only.
People who want to understand their own skin, and who are willing to come back for it. If what you actually want is one dramatic appointment before an event, say so when you book — that is a different conversation, and we would much rather have it up front than have you leave disappointed.
If you are not sure which of those is you, that is exactly what a consultation is for.
